my role

understand the business.
clarify the opportunity.

I worked inside the founder's office across startup evaluation, investor outreach, and live fundraising execution.

My role connected both sides of the table: understanding a business well enough to frame its opportunity, then keeping the right investor conversations moving.

20+pitch decks screened each month
investor outreach

Venture capital, private equity, and high-net-worth investors.

01 / understand the opportunity

finding the signal inside the deck.

I screened pitch decks across market, team, and traction. That review fed into the investor memos and deal summaries I drafted.

The output: a clearer view of the business and the information behind its investment story.

01

market.

Is the opportunity large, growing, and structurally attractive?

02

team.

Does the founding team have the insight and ability to execute?

03

traction.

Is there evidence that the business is earning momentum?

02 / make it easier to evaluate

the thinking,
on the page.

Two investment memos I prepared during my internship. Each brings the problem, product, and investment thesis into a concise business narrative.

Connecting the product to the business opportunity.

The problem

The solution

INVESTMENT MEMO / 022025

Consumer technology · Social connection

Helloha

Explaining where a new category fits.

The problem
A gap in meaningful, non-romantic connection for young people.
The solution
Asynchronous video, conversation prompts, and social features designed around friendship.
How I framed it
The memo positions the product between social networks, dating, and wellness, connecting its audience, product choices, and proposed routes to monetisation.

03 / keep conversations moving

keeping momentum
across the funnel.

I tracked outreach, coordinated follow-ups, and maintained continuity across live fundraising and partnership conversations.

  1. 01Track outreach

Maintain a view of investor conversations.

  2. 02Coordinate follow-ups

Help move the next conversation forward.

  3. 03Carry context

Keep the fundraising pipeline up to date.

what I took away

a strong deck starts a conversation.

Clear reasoning and consistent follow-through help carry it forward. Working across evaluation, memo writing, and outreach gave me a view of how those pieces fit together.
